About
I wish to propose [...] a doctrine which may, I fear, appear wildly paradoxical and subversive. The doctrine in question is this: that it is undesirable to believe a proposition when there is no ground whatever for supposing it true.
— Bertrand Russell

Note: I am the product of that which has come before me, and the will of that which precedes me.
There is a world, and in this world we exist. We are born, and only after a mind develops within our brain do we come to contemplate the possibilities of our existence. There is an external, undeniable truth known as reality. Our very existence proves this; we are here, therefore there is a "here" for us to be. However our mind exists in an internal world, where we interpret this reality. This complex relationship between what is real and what is perception provokes many questions.
Who I am is what we all are: physical containers of perception and the actions that this perception makes with its container throughout time. My existence will be of little importance in the short-term except to those who cared for me on a personal level. However my existence will echo throughout eternity in the same way that a ripple creates a title wave. When I die I will return to the Earth like a trillion lives before me, and in the same way that these lives culminated to form who and what I am today, so will my life be.
Life provides much distraction. We are born into delusional societies that believe that you can buy your way into heaven. Yet as we grow up we begin to notice that there is something different; that perhaps we have been living in illusion, and that something more real exists. We can taste it, and it doesn't taste like TV or billboards or money. The truth is what you've come to know as truth is a lie. Look deep into yourself and you will see this. You have doubts, and these doubts are the better part of your nature. The life you have been taught to live progresses towards catastrophe.
My goal is to strip away the pretensions of Absolute value projected upon reality by men with selfish intent, and to focus on the inherent nature of the source which created me. It is through these means that I hope to achieve a greater oneness with life itself. These efforts give me peace, as nothing compares to being at one with the gods of antiquity (forces of creation and destruction) and the deepest reaches of space.
I urge all to meditate on the true reality of their being, and to strive for a greater good, that we all might become agents of life as a whole instead of instruments of designing men.
S.R. Smith

This website would be well described as "edutainment": media designed to entertain its audience with the intention of educating them. Think of rankline.com as the after school special your parents don't want you to see.
This web site is inspired by a desire to mock the industrialized modern society of the Western world and the negative philosophies that support it. Its goal is to inspire like-minded individuals to make a positive change in their life by appealing to a greater good: life as a whole. We believe that broad, sweeping legislation designed to appease the lowest common denominator does nothing but promote destructive mediocrity. Because of this, we see political action as an ineffective way to accomplish our goals, as its methodology is directly opposed to ours. We prefer to nourish those who would be inclined to our way of thinking, and encourage them to spread these views, that healthy thought might survive and eventually flourish.
